Our concern for our bodies ... and caring for our bodies reflects how much we care and love those around us. Wholesome and natural foods are essential for us to live a wholesome.. and natural life! It's so simple!
I am so sick and tired of seeing chemicals everywhere. All packaged foods look plastic to me now. I can see the sickness in everyone's eyes. More chemicals are not the answer! Raw Food is the answer!

On a lighter note:
Today I had:
64 ozs "green lemonade"
64 ozs green smoothie
1 green apple
10 pieces of celery
avocado
20 pieces of romaine lettuce
1 red bell pepper
cayenne pepper, and dill
3 cups of fennel seed tea (french pressed herbs)
1 cup lemongrass tea (french pressed herbs)
64 ozs water

Watch the latest videos on YouTube.com

Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04091003370194114001noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26880419.post-77409784101240279302007-10-03T19:42:00.000-07:002012-09-10T10:54:42.514-07:00So Raw I forgot to EAT!
Today I listened to Revvell's interview of Angela Stokes ( my favorite raw food lady from rawreform.com)

I love listening to Revvell's Radio shows while I work. I have learned so much about the raw food lifestyle from so many different perspectives!

Today I worked 12 hours straight and had:
64 ozs green juice
64 ozs green smoothie
10 pieces of celery
5 pieces of romaine and half of one avocado in a wrap with fresh parsley, dill, onion, lemon, garlic... and of course... red pepper!

I only had green juice and smoothies today. My sinuses totally cleared up... I noticed a lot of elimination there today too! I had so much energy at Starbucks while I worked tonight I could hardly quit working. (no coffee or tea while I work by the way) I forgot to eat my baby carrots I had so much energy!

I've been working on having a more positive attitude at work . Everyone around me seems so sick and tired and bummed out. I smile all the time at work. Enzymes really do wonders!

Today I had so much more energy than I have in a while. I woke up 1/2 hr earlier for work this morning and had a big smile on my face when I got to work. This morning, our juice consisted of:

Pineapple

celery

ginger

grapefruit

kale (LOTS!)

1 carrot

This mixture was absolutely yummy and made us about 32 ounces each. 2 hours later I enjoyed about 5 soaked prunes and I drank the water I soaked them in too! Today I also had:

2 dates

1 large banana with extra freckles

32 ounces of green smoothie ( 2 frozen bananas, kale, and 2 cups water)

5 pieces of celery

1 grapefruit for lunch

15 baby carrots

Romaine/shredded broccoli salad with dill, lemon, garlic, and sea salt.

2 ears of corn with ginger, cinnamon, and a little raw honey= awesome!

I walked on lunch and found the a huge turtle on the trail and rescued it from almost getting hit by a bicycle. ... it slowly made its way to Haw Creek.

I worked a full day without any decrease in energy and in great spirits. Tonight we are going to lift weights for 1/2 hour and ride our bikes until it gets dark!

Watch the latest videos on YouTube.com

Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04091003370194114001noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26880419.post-1160423060700761222006-10-09T12:31:00.000-07:002006-10-09T12:44:20.713-07:00Lara Bars!
I'm telling everyone I know about this lovely little bars that are all raw! finally, a snack food with absolutely nothing artificial added! Imagine that! Real food!

My new favorite thing to do right now is to shred vegetables using my handy food processor. I never thought I would like raw broccoli as much as I do, but with lemon juice, a smidge of miracle whip, some ground flax seeds and cayenne pepper or hot sauce, I feel like I am eating a very mean Mexican Taco salad... the flax seeds add a lot of nutty flavor.

I have to start taking more pics of these creations!

Watch the latest videos on YouTube.com

Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04091003370194114001noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26880419.post-1146715076711815352006-05-03T20:26:00.000-07:002012-09-10T10:58:24.476-07:00RAW MUSCLE!

If I had any doubts about my protein requirements..... they are now officially gone! I stumbled upon a nice website while I was searching for raw food recipes today!
http://www.charliesgym.info/
I can't believe how wonderfully and masterfully designed our bodies are! We can make and recycle our protein! Lettuce is 29% protein! I never would have guessed! Men can actually be body builders on a raw food diet! wow! check him out!

Anyway, my favorite splurge this week are DATES from Marsh's Produce section. (the only place I can find them in town!). I never even liked dates, of course, I probably ate maybe 3 pieces of fruit a week as a kid. .. but DATES are the yummiest things ever! Why would anyone want to eat a candy bar? these things totally hit the spot sweetness-wise. They are tiny little raw caramels! I'm also eating baby carrots too. Love that vitamin A! I ate an entire bag today!
I've also calculated I'm getting well over 800 mcgs of Vitamin K a day in my morning green lemonade alone. No wonder I rarely bruise anymore! Vitamin K is also great for preventing arterial plaque, heart disease, building strong bones and preventing osteoporosis... and may prevent Alzheimer's disease (http://mercola.com/2004/mar/24/vitamin_k.htmmar/24/vitamin_k.htm).
She's 12 now.... Two years ago, the vet told me she had cancer... blah blah blah. She's still kickin! I have her on a raw food diet too. She acts like a puppy. She runs up and down the stairs, runs through the yard after kitties.. yells at Newfoundlands like she's the boss. (She is) I feed her raw turkey with our leftover scraps from juicing every day. (She doesn't know she's so darn healthy)

Watch the latest videos on YouTube.com

Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04091003370194114001noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26880419.post-1146184952740166452006-04-27T17:30:00.000-07:002012-09-10T11:01:31.131-07:00April 27, 2006
I added Collard Greens to my morning Green Lemonade this morning for some extra calcium. I read online that we need 1000 milligrams of calcium a day. I drank close to 30 ozs of Green Lemonade this morning.

I am also trying to get my 80 year old father in law to drink the juice too. He's old school and wonders if my husband and I are getting enough nourishment from not cooking.
It's amazing how wonderfully full you feel from drinking enzymes!

Our new juicer we got at Bed Bath And Beyond is amazing! It has over 800 watts of power and is beautiful stainless steel. I recommend it highly if you're interested in starting to juice! It can juice an entire apple at once! Also, its not very noisy at all! I don't wake anyone up with it!

Watch the latest videos on YouTube.com

Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04091003370194114001noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26880419.post-1146105238173194202006-04-26T19:21:00.000-07:002006-04-26T19:33:58.183-07:00April 26th, 2006Today I needed as much brain power as possible! So, I had my everyday morning Green Lemonade for breakfast and 30 minutes later, I ate 2 Granny Smith apples. Boy, were they yummy! I also had a sweet date and shared a little bit of it with my parakeet. He loved it too.

I needed the extra brain power because its finals week, and also because I had another of 3 interviews this week for the same job. I pray I get it!

After my presentation at lunch, I had another apple and two grapefruits and a glass of green tea.
Before my last class, I had a salad made of Organic Romaine Lettuce, lemon juice, fresh peas and a little bit of my special garlic seasoning I made. I also had three slices of untoasted Ezekiel bread. It really hit the spot and made me sharp for my final Informatics class.

Watch the latest videos on YouTube.com

Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04091003370194114001noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26880419.post-1145916255596342342006-04-24T14:59:00.000-07:002012-09-10T10:53:12.979-07:00Monday, April 24, 2006 Raw Food Is Fun!Going RAW has been the result of a progression towards being as healthy as I can. I really enjoy being different from everyone around me... especially healthwise.
Spring is such a beautiful time of year, and I love eating a wide variety of healthful fruits and vegetables that reflect the colors of the season.

Most of the time when I tell people that I eat only raw foods, they look at me like I love to crack eggs open like Rocky and slam em. Although I love Rocky, GROSS!
Really, to me, there is nothing better than sitting on the front porch with my husband and sipping a glass of freshly juiced celery, lemon, ginger, apple and kale and watching my little maltese running through the dandelions after the kitties.
I've never been happier. I've never had more clarity. I've never felt more creative! I believe it is all do the the nourishment my body receives from the REAL FOODS I eat.
