I found a really great story about a journey into 30 days of low-fat raw that I found very interesting.

Today, in our green juice, we had

Celery

kale

grapefruit

granny smith apple

oranges

Oranges are wonderful for smoothing out the juice each morning. I've been craving grapefruit lately.

ALSO:

Last night I ran 3 miles on the treadmill after work. It was an absolute breeze! I've never been able to run for that long without cramping. Also, my heart rate remained steady and I was able to control my breathing really well. I also did 110 lunges and some ab work on the ball. I hurt today!

Still in Love with our Breville Juicer

I was so excited to see Martha Stewart recommend our Breville juicer on her show today as one of her must-haves!

So fantastic to hear that she has someone make her juice every morning! Must be nice! I just finished a glass of green juice this morning made of carrots, kale, grapefruit and oranges. So tasty and healthy. This juice gives me so much energy during the day.

John Robbins and Our Food Our Future

Friday, October 5, 2007

I was very happy to read John Robbins' beautiful story of Our Food Our Future on his website about the choices we need to make NOW regarding our health and the health and wellbeing of all those we love. Our concern for our bodies ... and caring for our bodies reflects how much we care and love those around us. Wholesome and natural foods are essential for us to live a wholesome.. and natural life! It's so simple!
I am so sick and tired of seeing chemicals everywhere. All packaged foods look plastic to me now. I can see the sickness in everyone's eyes. Many walk around tired and toxic and they look for more toxins to help them feel better! Nonsense! More chemicals are not the answer! Raw Food is the answer!

On a lighter note:
Today I had:
64 ozs "green lemonade"
64 ozs green smoothie
1 green apple
10 pieces of celery
avocado
20 pieces of romaine lettuce
1 red bell pepper
cayenne pepper, and dill
3 cups of fennel seed tea (french pressed herbs)
1 cup lemongrass tea (french pressed herbs)
64 ozs water

So Raw I forgot to EAT!

Wednesday, October 3, 2007

Here is raw footage of me at our favorite store, IKEA! Jo on the phone
Today I listened to Revvell's interview of Angela Stokes ( my favorite raw food lady from rawreform.com)

I love listening to Revvell's Radio shows while I work. I have learned so much about the raw food lifestyle from so many different perspectives!

Today I worked 12 hours straight and had:
64 ozs green juice
64 ozs green smoothie
10 pieces of celery
5 pieces of romaine and half of one avocado in a wrap with fresh parsley, dill, onion, lemon, garlic... and of course... red pepper!

I only had green juice and smoothies today. My sinuses totally cleared up... I noticed a lot of elimination there today too! I had so much energy at Starbucks while I worked tonight I could hardly quit working. (no coffee or tea while I work by the way) I forgot to eat my baby carrots I had so much energy!

I've been working on having a more positive attitude at work . Everyone around me seems so sick and tired and bummed out. I smile all the time at work. Enzymes really do wonders!

Another Raw Vegan Diet Day of Green Smoothies!

Monday, October 1st, 2006

Today I had another BIG glass of green juice

We added Wheatgrass today! We really had to cut it with Rhubarb today because we were really low on Pineapple.
Quentin and I are looking into getting a Vita Mix blender... the professional series, so we can make much smoother green smoothies. I don't know how I'd get through the day without them. They seem to wake me up even better than coffee. Any time I carry my smoothie around I am always stopped and questioned. Many people seem to turn their nose at the green muck..... but the green muck tastes so good! I can eat spinach like its going out of style...... I never thought I would. My blood sugar remains stable throughout the day and I never get snippy.
Even when I work 12-13 hours a day with nothing but smoothie to consume, I never run out of energy. I go home and clean and Q lovingly yells at me to get ready for bed!

If you have yet to read Victoria Boutenko's Green for Life book. Buy it NOW! It keeps us raw and strong.

Well, time to fix dinner for me and Quentin.... tonight it will be romaine lettuce wraps and avocado with dill, parsley, onion, garlic, red pepper, flax seeds and lemon ...yum!

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

Today we went to Wild Oats in Carmel, IN. I stocked up on flax seeds, wheat berries, fennel seed and we got about 20lbs of organic bananas for 99cents total! Talk about a deal!
We made our smoothies before we left the house. I had 64 ozs down by 4pm.
We also stocked up at Meijer (all organic dandelion greens, turnip greens, spinach, kale, asparagus)
